It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the Royal Australian Chemical Institute conference, PhysChem 2016, at The University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand from February 2-5 2016.
The aim of this conference is to gather physical chemists from Australia and abroad to discuss their latest research. The conference will feature presentations from internationally renowned plenary and keynote speakers.Focus areas of the conference will include photochemistry, nonlinear optical spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy, semiconductor nanomaterials, mass spectrometry, polymer chemistry, molecular dynamics and quantum simulations, biophysics, computational chemistry, time resolved spectroscopy, and atmospheric chemistry.Aside from the scientific program, the conference will include social activities and the chance to explore Christchurch and its surroundings.

Christchurch is known as the gateway to the South Island of New Zealand with spectacular views across to the Southern Alps. On the doorstep are many opportunities for outdoor pursuits, tramping, and sightseeing. Closer to home there are many award winning restaurants and visitor attractions including the beautiful botanic gardens.
